This is the 1st of 2 cards I've  made using this stampset..  check back on day 5 to see my other creation.

This card was a lot of fun. I had a concept in my head and had to search through a lot of paper pads to find just the right papers. I hope you like it as much as I do. I started the card using a base of trees which I found in Lawn Fawn's Into the Woods 6x6 paper pad.

The orange frame was created using the Elizabeth Craft Designs Die set called Dashing Rectangles. Although difficult to see in the photos there are tiny cut out dashes around the die cuts. This Border and one sun was cut out using patterned paper by American Crafts - Hip Hip Hooray! 6x6 paper pad.

I was able to find clouds paper in the #Summer 6x6 paper pad by American Crafts. This piece was cut using the larger Dashing Rectangles Die to match perfectly. In this same pad I found the yellow paper I used to create the other sun die cut that I used as the top layer.

The clouds were creating using a die I found in my stash and patterned white paper I found in American Crafts - Project Life - Becky Higgins - Everyday Edition. I used foam to create dimension.

I created the layered grass using 2 different green patterned papers and the Taylored Expression die called Wispy Grass Border Die. The 1st grass border was cut from green patterned paper in the #Summer 6x6 Paper pad mentioned above. The other was from the My Favorite Things - Calm & Cozy Chevrons paper pad I used from the above 1st card. I cut 2 of each and layered the pair twice adding one directly to the card base and the other on top of the frame to create dimension and leave room for the men to be secured.

For this card I had the opportunity to try out the brand new pink hybrid ink..

I stamped all the hearts in this color and for the "I heart you" sentiment (from the YOU COMPLETE ME stampset) first I stamped using grey ink and then stamped over it usung the Pretty In Pink ink.  I then took out my quilling supplies as I
thought the textured contrast would be pretty. The patterned paper I used on this one was in a 6x6 paper pad by Lawn Fawn  called Kint Picky.
To create the SMILE I used a die and cut 4 pieces of red card stock 6 white 110lb cover stock and the layered them, 2 red then the 6 white then the 2 other red.

I finished off the card using Kraftin' Kimmie's newest product ....

https://m.facebook.com/events/294490898082984/?ref=content_filter

I love this stampset so much that I just had to create 2 cards for this release.

This 1st card I made using the fabulous new Happy Hearts Stencils to create my background. To achieve this look I took a piece of white 110lb coverstock and adhered the piece to my craft board using washi tape. I covered 1/4" of each side to keep the border crisp white. I then adhered the stencil to the piece also using washi tape and brushed on Tim Holtz Antique Linen ink across the card. I then used Tim Holtz Red Brick ink to the bottom left of the card where I intended to adhere my bear.

The cute glossy bear was created using White Liquid Applique. I then colored the bears ears, muzzle, tummy and heart using the following Copic colors:

Copic Color Chart
Ears/Muzzle/tummy : E40 E43 E44
Red hearts: R24 R29 R59

For the die cuts I created the frame using 2 nestled dies by Sizzix - Framelits Stephanie Barnard - Rectangles Dotted.  For the Die cut hearts I used the Lawn Fawn Say What? GiftTags dies.

For my second card I decided to create a cute little 70's inspired living room scene. I may have wasted a lot of paper trying to figure out how to create the illusion on walls.  Thankfully not my favorite sheets. I ended up finding all 3 of these patterned papers in the same paper pad. Pebbles - Happy Day! 6x6 paper pad had the wining combination. The grey baseboards and trim was made using scrap grey cardstock I had in my pile. I created the lamp and chair using the design features on my Silhouette.  For the lamp shades 3D shape I pasted the right and left edges directly to the card base and used foam in the center. I added detailed dotted to the shade using Liquid Applique. The sentiment was created using a die from the  Stampin Up die set called "From the Garden"

For the bear I used the following Copic Color Chart:

Fur : C1 C3 C5 C7
Paws : C1 C3
Heart tummy: R11 R02 R22
I colored the heart on the sentiment tag using R22

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Day ONE

I am very excited to share that after being absolutely obsessed with Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, I shared my work and was chosen as a guest designer. Be sure to check back daily this week because this is only day 1 of the January release.

Welcome to the FIRST release of this brand new year at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

https://www.kraftinkimmiestamps.com/product-category/new-goodies/

This is Day ONE of our January Krafty Peeks and we are over the moon excited to share everything with you!  We've got new stamp sets, new stencils, new ink, a BRAND NEW PRODUCT and we're thrilled to be introducing you to our NEW ARTIST!
Hang on tight...'cause here we go!

The first set for January that we are sharing with you is called YOU ARE SUPER and is from our brand new artist, Neda Sadreddin!

We all have women and girls in our lives who are superheros to us and to others!  Just by being themselves as a Mom, a Grandma, a Friend...and we need to tell them more often how AWESOME we think they are!  So here comes the perfect stamp set!  It features a main full sized image plus two portrait sized images in different super cute poses! You can add a mask and even different letters to her chest to make it personal for the recipient!  There are several sentiments and options to create your own!  I think you'll agree this is a fabulous first set from Neda!

Here is my creation using this spectacular set. I channeled my inner super hero to create this comic book inspired card.

Copic color chart
Hair: E43 E44 E47 E49
Skin: E000 E00 E01 E02 E04

Cape: C1 C3
Boots: N2 N4 N6 N7 N9 N10
Buckle: Y13 Y28

I created this 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"  top folding card using 110lb cover stock.  I created the "boom" , city skyline , word bubble and burst using the designer features on my Silhouette.  All patterned paper was from the Echo Park's A Boy's Life collection.  I used black dotted Washi tape to create the dots behind the "boom".  I used nestling star dies to create the star.  And last but not least the yellow dotted piece is in fact a We R Memory Keepers die called Polka Dots cut outs die.

You'll get to see ALL of our new goodies in action over the next few days of January Krafty Peeks and they'll all be released at our LIVE Online Release Party on Saturday, January 12 at 2pm EST in the Krafty Friends group!

Nellie Snellen - Hoppie's Little Sailor

When I do my work I always stamp my images, then color them up, and then look to my paper stash to find the perfect paper. I found this red white and blue paper and knew it was the one.  I got this sheet from  6x6 Project Life - Beck Higgins - High Five Edition paper pad.
I used 110lb white coverstock for the base and the created top folding 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card. I cut the stiped piece to match and adhered it to the base.

I stamped the image on 110lb coverstock and colored the stamped image using the following color guide.

Copic Color Chart
Shirt : B21 B24
Navy on scarf: B39
Red : R24 R29 R89
Hat: Y23 YR21 YR24
Stuffed bunny: Y21 Y23
Grey bunny: C1 C3 C5 C7
Ear : R20
Wood E31 E23 E25 E27
Shoes : E25 E27
White : C1
Ground : C1 C3

Once the image was colored I cut the image ensure the bunny was on the right hand side and cut the piece to measure 3 5/8" wide by 41/4" high.  I used crimson red card stock to create the border. I cut the red cardstock 3 7/8" by 4 1/2". I had a red "Thank you!" wood element which I used as my sentiment.

Warm and Cozy Birthday His and Hers

These cards were both made using the same dies and format except the his and hers colors and glasses. The base I made was white 110lb coverstock top folding 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".  I then used the same 110lb coverstock and cut  3 times per card the circles die from Your Next Stamps Die called "Circle Panel Die". I layered the die cuts and glued them together. I like to layer dies to give the effect of a chipboard.

I chose the green chevron page for the masculine card and a pink chevron page for the feminine card from the My Favorite Things 6x6 called Calm & Cozy Chevron. I cut each of these to measure 3 3/4" x 5 1/8". I pasted these to the card base for each card and then adhered the circle panel die cuts. I then used a grey card stock for the masculine and a red cardtstock for the feminine and cut out a panel of each and kept only a few on the circles. I pasted the circles inside the holes.

I used dies to cut out the 2 pairs of glasses using the same grey and red cardstock respectively. I then used the spellbinders D-Lites Hipster die set to create the coffee cups.Using 110lb white coverstock I die cut  2 cups per, 2 cup coffee lids I then cut 2 coffee cozies per using brown craft paper. I pasted the individual items together and colored them individually before pasting them into the little figurines.

Copic Color Chart:
Lid: E40 E43
Cup: E44 E47 E49
Cozy: little vertical lines E47

I cut the sentiment mat using Avery Elle Double Pierced rectangles die. I used the 2 3/4" x 1 1/2" die.

I stamped the sentiment using the Sunny Studios Quilting Hexagons stamp set. I used Stampin' Up Cherry Cobbler for the feminine card and Basic Grey for the masculine card.

To finish the cards I used black half pearls for eyes and I used Wink of Stella in clear for the feminine glasses and cut tiny lips for her as well.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Tweetie Pies

As I look out the window at the snow covered ground this card reminds me of summers passed.  I made this 'Just because' card using my favorite palette of turquoise and gold.

I colored this elegant beauty using the following color chart.

Copic Color Chart
Bird : Y11 Y13 Y15 Y19
Dress : BG23 BG13 BG15
Skin : E000 E00 E01 E02 E04
Flowers : V17
Hair : E31 E23 E25 E27 E47 E49

This base of this top folding 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card was made using 110lb coverstock. I covered the front using a pretty and shiny gold with turquoise dots paper I found in a 6x6 Molly & Rex paper pad that I cut the 4 1/4" by 5 1/2". I left no white border on this card base which is not a common thing for me however for this one I preferred this visual without a border.

I used a unique rectangle die by Elizabeth Craft Designs called Dashed Rectangles . I was very happy to find this great die which adds just the right amount of subtle detail. The die I chose for this card was the 3 3/4" x 2 1/2" with a scrap piece of aqua paper.

I cut a piece 3 1/4" x 2" of aqua gauze paper from the Die Cuts With a View 6x6 The Gauze Paper Stack. I secure this piece to the aqua dashed rectangle and secured it to the base of the card.

I cut a pale aqua piece of paper from the Teresa Collins - Something Wonderful 6x6 paper pad to measure 3" wide and 4 1/2" tall I then cut a flag out of the bottom. I cut the stamped and colored image 2 1/2" wide and added a flag base to it as well. I adhered these pieces together and added foam and secured it to the card.  I stamped the sentiment and cut the sentiment to 2 1/4" X  1/2", added foam and adhered it to the top of the image piece.
